1978 Scout II Traveler
Ames, IA

I've been working on this truck for about a year and am listing it for sale. No best offers, please. It's a California truck with very little rust and original paint. Completely solid. Lots of receipts, original owners manual, and service manuals. Truck is currently insured and licensed. As time goes on I will continue to make improvements and the asking price will go up.

The only things this truck currently needs are lift gate struts.

When I dropped the oil pan there were no shavings or bits of metal which would indicate worn bearings.

The truck drives like a dream - straight and smooth. It runs very well. All the gauges work. If it does not sell by the end of August I will be driving it ~3200 miles round trip. It is reliable. I have had the top on and off with no problems. There are very few Travelers out there with as little rust and rot as this truck has. I'd like to sell this truck in order to get a vehicle I won't have to store during the winter - for as long as it has been in Iowa it has been stored during the winter.

The truck will come with whatever extra parts I have accumulated. Please contact me through the messaging system for questions or additional contact information.

PM for link to images.
