Hello, and pics of my Free 1963 Scout 80 all these years later.

Just a couple of pictures of my 1963 Scout 80 that I've had since I was in High School. I got it for free on account of the original slant 152 having a rod knocking. I replaced that motor with a motor out of a 68' and then later swapped that out for a Chevy 350 and all the running gear out of a Blazer. Also swapped out the rear end with a Dana 44 built my own shackles for about $9 among lots of other stuff. It's been to the Moab Jamboree twice and from Oregon to Florida.



Bran new to this forum and hope to get to know everybody and possibly share some of the stuff I've picked up along the way as well as learn some stuff too.

Nice Scout!!! I went to Moab a couple years back, really nice area .... rented a side by side 4 wheeler, really wanted more than that .... now I want to go back, with my Scout!

Yep it was a good time I went twice and both times being young and dumb I drove my scout all the way from Northern Utah/Southern Idaho all the way down the full length of Utah to Moab then kicked the bejeebies out of the Scout and drove it all the way back passing trailered and broken Jeeps the whole way. Granted was that a good idea? Nope, not at all but man was it a good time! We went during the Easter Jeep Jamboree both years and the second year it snowed so hard that it colapsed and flooded out tent, so we slept in wet ice cold sleeping bags all night too. Even with that being said it was awesome! People love the Scouts there to, it's like you offer them a bit of fresh air after getting bombarded all day with Jeep after Jeep they tend to get a little more exited when something else rolls through. So, I would highly recomended it! Oh and here's some more current pictures of the Scout.
