We specially selected these due to shoulder lengths. We wanted to avoid having the threaded portion of the bolt inside the shackle side as the threads chew them up if possible. By haveing the smooth shoulder touching both it makes for a better fit and less wear. This bolt kit is designed for our BCB-S2-SHACKLES-STOCK or BCB-S2-SHACKLES-EXTENDED 3/8" thick extreme duty shackles but should work on most shackles with 3/8" thick sides.
