Quick Overview
In 2001 we started selling our first kit that was similar to this but did not have the lower bushing. This made us the go to source for 1961-1971 Scout 80/800 poly body bushings and we started selling them to other scout shops accross the nation. We added the hardwear portion of the kit about 2009 and all was even better. At that time some of the shops that we sold our bushings through decided to try and replicate or make their own product in order to make a few bucks more profit. Well the old saying holds true "often imitated, never equalled".
However we never rest easy when we know something can be improved. In 2013 further testing and design improvments were done. That year we designed and had a cavity mold manufactured specifically for a newly designed lower nesting bushing to lock it all together and better isolate the cab. The reviews from the industry and customers came in positive and great sucess was the result.
In early 2017 some of our testing showed that even further reductions in felt vibtration were possible by altering the formulation of the polyurethane and durometer of the bushings. Some components impart specific properties to the formulation when it is put into use. We found the secret!!
Once ready and test bushings made, we installed these new bushing and indeed they absorbed more vibrations. We then released the newest rendition on December 20th 2017. Just remember unlike competitors that repurposed existing aftermarket bushings & washers designed for something else, or unsuccessfully copied our old design, our kits are designed from the Scout up. Good replacements for the aluminum mounts that were installed, granted my project is turning the scout 80 into a hotrod but would like to see various sizes.
